Happy New Year, folks
Welcome to 2026. If you have been saving up money to buy a new motorcycle or scooter, stop right there. This year is going to be massive for the Indian two-wheeler market.
Whether you are a Royal Enfield fanboy, a Pulsar lover, or someone waiting for the perfect adventure bike, 2026 has something for everyone. We at New Car Launch have dug deep into the upcoming launches to bring you this detailed watchlist.
So, grab a coffee, sit back, and let’s look at the machines hitting Indian roads this year.

1. Bajaj: 2026 is the Year of Pulsar
Let’s start with the homegrown giant, Bajaj. Their boss, Rajeev Bajaj, has openly stated that 2026 will be the Year of Pulsar.
For almost 20 years, the Classic Pulsar, the design we all know, has remained mostly unchanged. But now, it’s time for a major overhaul.
- What to expect: We are looking at a completely new generation of the Pulsar 125cc and 150cc.
- The upgrades: Expect a modern design, a new chassis, and finally monoshock suspension at the rear.
- Launch Timeline: These beauties are expected to arrive in the second half of 2026, just in time for the festive season.

2. Royal Enfield: The Big Guns are Coming
If you love thumping engines, get ready. Royal Enfield is going all out this year.
The Himalayan 750. This is easily the most-awaited bike of the year. After the success of the 450, RE is bringing a bigger, badder version.
- It will likely feature a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear, making a proper adventure tourer, great for highways and decent for trails.
- Expect the launch by the end of 2026.
Bullet 650 Fans asked for it, and it’s happening. Imagine the classic Bullet looks-the hand-painted stripes, the stepped seat-but with the powerful 650cc twin-cylinder engine. This one might launch very soon, possibly in the first few months of 2026.
Continental GT 750 Rumored. There is a strong buzz that RE might also upgrade the cafe racer Continental GT to a 750cc engine. If this happens, it will be a beast on the road.

3. Honda: Goodbye to Stalling with E-Clutch
Honda is known for refinement, but in 2026, it is bringing cool tech called the E-Clutch system.
What is it? Basically, you can change gears without pulling the clutch lever. It prevents the bike from stalling in heavy traffic. You can expect this feature on:
- Honda NX 500
- Honda Transalp XL 750
- Honda Hornet 750
For city riders and tourers, this tech is going to be a game-changer.

4. BMW F 450 GS: The Mini Giant
This is one bike I am personally very excited about. The BMW G 310 GS is getting a big brother, the F 450 GS.
- It will have a twin–cylinder engine producing around 48PS of power.
- Unlike the 310, this will feel like a proper premium BMW. It might even come with heated grips, rare in this segment.
- Launch: Likely in January 2026 itself.

5. Hero Karizma XMR 250
Remember when Hero brought back the Karizma name with the 210? It was a good bike, but it lacked that “wow” punch in sales.
Hero is fixing that with the new Karizma XMR 250. It looks sharper, feels bigger, and packs more power. We already saw it at EICMA, and it is definitely hitting Indian showrooms in 2026.

6. KTM: Ready to Race and Off-Road
The Austrian orange brand has two big surprises:
- 390 Adventure R: This is the hardcore version. It comes with massive suspension travel and a huge 272mm ground clearance. If you love trail riding, this is your dream bike.
- RC 490: There are rumors that KTM might skip the RC 390 update and bring a twin-cylinder RC 490 to India by late 2026. Fingers crossed for this one.

7. Yamaha & Electric Scooters
Yamaha showed us some cool concepts last year, and 2026 is when they become a reality.
- Aeroxy: An electric scooter based on the sporty Aerox design.
- EC06: Developed with River Indie, this is a rugged electric scooter.
- Both are expected in the first half of 2026.

8. The Best of the Rest
The list doesn’t end there! Here are a few more mentions:
- Triumph Trident 800: A more powerful version of the 660, giving you that triple-cylinder symphony with over 100hp.
- Kawasaki ZX–10R: A refreshed version with better aerodynamics 25% more downforce, is coming late in the year.
- BSA Thunderbolt: A stunning rally-style bike that looks like it came straight from the Dakar Rally.
- Vinfast: The Vietnamese brand plans to enter India with electric two-wheelers by December 2026.
